Labor Day Weekend

Posted on September 4, 2012

Stuart and I spent our labor day weekend in a fairly low key manner. We spent the beginning of the weekend just catching up on some errands and things we needed to do. Sunday afternoon we, in the spur of the moment, decided to head up to Raleigh and spend the rest of our time with my brother and his in-laws. We had a nice time playing with my brother’s two dogs: Barney and Henry. On Monday we went to my brother’s in-laws and had a nice BBQ and watched golf out on the sun porch. We headed back around 3pm and got home just in time for some dinner so we headed over to Mellow Mushroom!

This place is so cool. The taps hang from the ceilings in little pods. Our service wasn’t the best but you can’t always have exactly what you’re looking for.

We have visited the location in Wilmington, NC and last time we were there we ordered the Bayou Blue Pizza. It has a spicy blue cheese base, with sausage and shrimp. It is SOOO GOOD, that we had to have it again.

I had a very tasty peanut butter and jelly yogurt bowl for breakfast this morning. So yummy and packed with protein.

Since we were out of town up until last night we were completely out of food in the house. So for lunch I sprinkled some yummy garlic and herb seasoning on some eggs and added cheese. A side of cucumber hummus. Yum.
